I am used to working with designers, but the bigger challenge is to work with people from an other professional area who have the same goals. 2009, ETH and ZHAW were looking for designers to give the Ballbot a personality. The opportunity to be a part of this group and this focus project was unique.
Rezero is the name of an unique Ballbot, who is able to balance and drive on a single sphere. The Ballbot moves in a very organic and elegant way. The design concept is to make Rezero human. To make it human it is not imporant to give it two arms, two legs and a face. The emotions make a Rezero living. The people around Rezero have to feel that it is alive. It breaths and it feels.
